Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment and building components. Working alongside the Engineering Manager, you will diagnose problems, offer solutions, and act to ensure the safety, care, and comfort of staff and patients.

• Perform a variety of skilled maintenance, including repairs to machinery, equipment or facilities
• Perform preventive maintenance on hospital and plant equipment
• Execute miscellaneous work orders and answer trouble calls
• Accurately document and maintain records for the facility
• Perform routine electrical, plumbing and HVAC maintenance
• Assist in ordering parts and supplies needed for maintenance

What Qualifications You Will Need:

Experience

• 1 year experience in a large commercial industrial or health care facility as an electrician, HVAC and Plant Operator, or plumber with general and structural maintenance, modification, renovation and interior construction Preferred
• Previous experience in general maintenance in a hospital or similar institution preferred

Education

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Technical, Vocational or other equivalent education preferred

Certifications

• Licensed or certified in HVAC, Electrical, Plant Operations or Maintenance field preferred
