Details Step down/PCU unit in a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital Patient ratios of 1:4-5 Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00 Every other weekend required No on-call requirements May float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical floors, with travelers prioritized for floating if overstaffed 48-hour work weeks approved Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active WA state or compact RN license required, must be in hand at submission Minimum 1 year of recent experience required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Required skills include cardiac drip titration and management Experience with respiratory care, IV therapy, central/peripheral/PICC line management, and blood product administration Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry monitoring Epic charting experience required Teaching hospital experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care to cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and renal patient populations in a stepdown/PCU setting Participate in rapid response and code team activations as needed May float between sister facilities within the state as needed Scrub color is open for RNs No parking fees at this facility Candidates must select one holiday to work, either Thanksgiving or Christmas Must disclose any prior employment history with Providence facilities, including dates and location, if applicable Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius for local rate eligibility RTO requests should be submitted upfront and minimized to avoid delays in offer processing First-time travelers will be considered for this position American Traveler Job ID P-770157.
