About the Role

The Company is seeking a full-time Vice President of Operations to take on a pivotal role in leading and owning the operational execution of field teams. This includes overseeing day-to-day activities related to the delivery of security systems, access control, and other related field service work. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing subcontractor relationships, ensuring quality, schedule, and cost standards are met, and will have direct profit and loss ownership, with a focus on budgeting, cost oversight, and cash management. The role also involves building and standardizing operating procedures, workflows, and reporting systems to support the organization's growth, as well as leading the staffing, scheduling, and performance management of field technicians and operational managers. Applicants for the Vice President of Operations position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' of operations leadership experience, preferably in field services, trades, or a related industry with distributed field teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing subcontractor relationships, building processes in fast-growing organizations, and be comfortable operating in a lean, hands-on environment. While not mandatory, a background in commercial security, access control, low voltage, or related industries is preferred. Experience with video management platforms and serving national accounts or large-scale commercial facilities is also a plus. The role requires a candidate with strong process and SOP-building skills, who can work effectively without a dedicated sales function and is capable of driving operational discipline across the organization.
