POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Facilities Manager, receives material and equipment at District warehouse, delivers materials and equipment to various district sites. Supervise property control shop personnel, activities and functions. Coordinate the operations of Property Control to include organization of district auctions

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work involves duties where considerable physical exertion is required as a normal part of the job. Assistance is normally available to perform unusually physically demanding tasks. Work may involve lifting and carrying objects weighing as much as, but not limited to, 75 pounds up to 50 yards as a regular part of the job. Climbing, stooping, bending, reaching, walking and sitting for extended periods of time may be required as a normal part of the job. Employees must not have any limitations of motion, and vision and hearing should be rated as acceptable to obtain the required driver's license. WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position regularly works indoors and outdoors. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews requests for warehouse surplus/controlled stock. Completes work orders. Authorizes the issue or return of items to/from warehouse.
- Maintains warehouse and outside storage area according to established procedures to include safety, inventory and organization of surplus.
- Performs inventory, as requested, of MUSD sites to determine location and condition of property/equipment. Resolve differences by researching salvage documents, transfer documents and other inventory documents.
- Receives incoming shipments of materials and equipment. Checks accuracy of items received against purchase order, packing slip and invoice. Inspects for damage and conducts appropriate follow up to vendor regarding visual and known damage claims.
- Sorts, loads and delivers materials, equipment and supplies to appropriate destinations.
- Responsible for operating forklifts, electric/hydraulic powered multi person Genie lifts and electrically operated man lifts, including loading, unloading, delivery and supplying of instructional guidance.
- Provide assistance to other trades and crafts in moving and staging equipment or for the removal of equipment or materials.
- Responsible for training and certifying new forklift operators.
- Oversee the activities of the warehouse/delivery workers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to safely operate and back large vehicles in confined spaces.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Have basic computer skills
- Ability to do basic mathematical computations.
- Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents and community members.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies.
- Ability to handle situations in a professional manner.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three years of distribution and/or warehouse experience, preferably as a lead or supervisor
- Current forklift certification
- Ability to obtain OSHA approved forklift trainer certification within 6 months of hire
- Hold current driver's license in good standing
- Previous customer service experience
