Job Title

CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CT equipment; transfer and position patients using proper safety and lifting techniques, applying immobilization devices as necessary
• Obtain patient identification, allergy history, and pertinent medical history prior to procedures; prepare and administer contrast media intravenously per radiologist protocol
• Capture, store, transfer, and archive digital images; maintain permanent patient records and magnetic tape studies for future reference
• Perform daily equipment calibration and quality control; coordinate with workroom staff to organize daily patient schedules
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions and respond appropriately; assist with emergency medical situations including basic CPR
• Assist radiologists and physician specialists with specialized radiological procedures; review and document pertinent patient history to support diagnostic interpretation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience required
• Philips CT equipment experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Must maintain registry in accordance with applicable regulatory agency requirements
• Candidates who are full-time employees of the client facility are not eligible for contract placement within six months of employment
• Must live more than 35 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel/contract assignment experience preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Skills checklist completed within the past year, while not required, is preferred
