In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with advanced inspection technologies, contribute to continuous improvement, and collaborate closely with engineering, production, and customer partners.What You'll Do:As a leader in our quality organization, you will:Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using CMMs, manual tools, and visual inspection techniquesInterpret engineering drawings and work with engineering and management to define quality requirementsCreate quality control plans for complex componentsDevelop and run CMM programs to support efficient, accurate measurementsUse calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, and vision-based systems such as optical comparatorsSupport shop-floor teams with in-process inspections and guidanceReview measurement results, determine conformance, and produce detailed inspection reportsPartner with customers to review findings and recommend corrective actionsMaintain accurate inspection records and upload documentation to company systemsManage and track nonconformance reportsPerform routine CMM maintenance and monitor calibration statusLead Out-of-Tolerance investigations and drive inspection-process improvementsApply basic statistical techniques to analyze measurement trendsConduct Measurement System AnalysisUphold and follow Centrus' quality management system proceduresTrain team members on inspection techniques, tools, and GD&T conceptsKeep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and safeSupport occasional weekend or evening work to meet critical deadlinesContribute to additional projects as neededWhat You Bring:• High school diploma or equivalent• Minimum five years of experience in dimensional inspection and CMM programming• Strong knowledge of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5)• Experience inspecting tight-tolerance, high-value components• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines• Excellent attention to detail and ability to read mechanical drawings/CAD models• Strong written communication skills for procedures and reporting• Effective communication with engineers, shop personnel, and other teams• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q-level security clearancePreferred Qualifications:• Experience programming and operating Zeiss Calypso CMMs• SolidWorks modeling experience• Familiarity with statistical tools such as MinitabPay: Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $67,564 - $135,128. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
