Job Summary: The Environmental Service Specialist is responsible for performing custodial duties and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that building and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential.Responsibilities:Collect trash and replace garbage liners, clean garbage receptacles as requiredDust and cleaning of all furniture, fixtures, and horizontal surfaces as requiredVacuum all carpeted areas, mop tile and concrete floor areas as requiredWash, disinfect, and restock all restroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, paper and soap dispensers as requiredEmpty trash in all washrooms, clean mirrors, walls and toilet partitionsCleaning windowsills and windowsReport minor maintenance repairs and any damagesMaintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe mannerMaintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable conditionProper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicalsWear proper Personal Protective Equipment at all timesPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsStrong follow-through on delegated tasks and assignmentsAbility to operate and use tools/equipmentAbility to follow oral and/or written instructionsMaintain a positive attitudeGood client/customer service skillsAbility to prioritize multiple tasksAbility to work effectively independently or with a teamBasic knowledge of general housekeeping methods and practices, cleaning products and useMust work PM ShiftsMust work weekends
