About the Position

Job Title: CVOR Nurse Educator Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Educator Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Previous travel experience required. At least 3-5 years of scrub and circulate experience are necessary. Candidates must have experience in a larger program that handles transplants, VADs, heart failure, aortic work, robotic surgery, and potentially congenital heart surgery. License: Must have a valid nursing license. Certifications: Relevant nursing certifications are required. Must-Have: Strong communication and teamwork skills. Experience in creating competencies and knowledge of standards. Description: The position is for a CVOR Nurse Educator. This role involves working Monday to Friday for 5 days a week. The educator will oversee and provide training for staff in the CVOR. Candidates should have the capacity to work in a high-volume surgical setting. A member of AORN is preferred. The educator will be responsible for developing educational programs and assessments for nursing and support staff. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care outcomes and ensure best practices in the CVOR. Travel radius of 60 miles is preferred. Candidates must be prepared to comply with ongoing educational requirements and demonstrate ongoing proficiency in nursing practices.
