Registered Nurse Resource Pool

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care in various departments including Women’s Services, Labor & Delivery, Acute Care, and Intensive Care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide safe and effective patient-centered care. Adapt quickly to different clinical environments, patient populations, and unit needs. Cross‑train across multiple specialties (with potential for additional financial incentives). Ensure timely and accurate documentation to support patient outcomes and team communication. Minimum Qualifications Current RN license in the state of Utah (or compact license). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers. Strong verbal and written communication skills. RNs with less than 12 months of RN experience must obtain a BSN within 5 years of their start date. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree will be verified). Previous experience in acute care, critical care, or women’s services. Additional certifications related to specialty areas (e.g., ACLS, NRP, CCRN). Posting Specifics Location: Utah Valley Hospital in Provo and associated Utah Valley area facilities (American Fork Clinic, Heber Valley Hospital, Orem Community Hospital, Sanpete Valley Hospital, Spanish Fork Hospital). Shift Details: Full-time, night shift with shift differential available. Schedule: Variable weekend requirements and flexible holiday staffing. Compensation: Base salary $34.53 – $52.25 per hour, plus 10% Float Pool differential and potential cross‑training incentives. Relocation Assistance: May be available for qualified external candidates. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36. Physical Demands Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors requiring verbal communication, understanding spoken information and alarms quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy, including frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care and medication preparation. Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients; bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment, typically including items of varying weights up to heavy items. Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment, including pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment.
