Travel Radiation Therapist - Oncology Gross Weekly Pay: $3,406 Taxable Weekly Pay: $2,160 Non-Taxable Weekly Stipend: $1,246 Contract Length: 13 Weeks Department: Oncology Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (8-Hour Shifts) We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in a busy Oncology Department . This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with experience delivering radiation therapy using advanced treatment technologies in a patient-focused environment. Schedule 13-week travel assignment 40 hours per week Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 8-hour shifts Responsibilities Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist. Operate Varian TrueBeam, Varian IX, and ARIA treatment management software. Verify patient identity, positioning, and treatment parameters before each procedure. Monitor patients during treatment and respond appropriately to any concerns or emergencies. Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation. Perform routine quality assurance and equipment safety checks. Educate and support patients throughout their course of radiation therapy. Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and the multidisciplinary oncology team to provide exceptional patient care. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and radiation safety standards. Qualifications Active New York Radiation Therapist License (must be in hand at the time of submission). Minimum 1 year of recent Radiation Therapy experience. Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current BCLS (BLS) certification. Experience with Varian TrueBeam, Varian IX, and ARIA software is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, radiation safety, and oncology patient care. Must maintain all required state and federal licenses and certifications. Traveler Requirements 100-mile radius rule applies. Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility based on their permanent address.
