Travel PCU Stepdown RN

Role: Stepdown RN responsible for caring for patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units, requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions. Responsibilities Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, assist during cardiac procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort. Observe and record patient conditions, respond to cardiac emergencies, and document assessments. Develop and implement patient education plans focused on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. Maintain confidentiality, adhere to safety protocols, and perform additional duties within scope of practice. Qualifications & Skills One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN. Valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications; PCCN and NIHSS preferred. Critical thinking, effective communication, and interpersonal skills. Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients, with visual acuity and mental resilience to work under pressure.
