Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency care, demonstrating compassion, teamwork, and a proactive approach to patient care. The position involves working the night shift in a smaller emergency room that requires occasional cross-training to cover charge duties.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages in the emergency room.Assess and manage patients presenting with a range of conditions, including chest pain, abdominal pain, respiratory issues, orthopedic injuries, and more.Administer medications and treatments as required, including common drips such as antibiotics and emergency medications.Collaborate with emergency department teams to ensure optimal patient flow and care.Participate in unit-specific orientation and training sessions.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting is required.Current certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS.Must possess a valid driver's license to comply with radius restrictions.Working ConditionsShifts are 12 hours in length, including nights.Weekend and holiday availability are required.Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:4.Orientation consists of two unit-specific shifts.Attributes for SuccessThe ideal candidate will exhibit qualities such as kindness, compassion, high energy, and a positive, can-do attitude.
