Painter / Maintenance Technician

Location: Hollywood, FL
Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour

We are seeking a skilled Painter / Maintenance Technician to join our team in Hollywood, FL . This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in painting, drywall repair, and general building maintenance who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting projects using proper preparation and finishing techniques.
• Apply and install wall coverings as needed.
• Repair and install drywall and plaster, including taping, patching, sanding, and finishing surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, stripping, scraping, and priming before painting.
• Inspect walls and ceilings for damage, including cracks, water damage, and deteriorated drywall or plaster.
• Move furniture, shelving, equipment, and fixtures to prepare work areas and return them upon completion.
• Perform minor carpentry repairs and other general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Safely operate tools and equipment while following all workplace safety procedures.
• Complete additional maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience with interior and exterior painting.
• Experience hanging wall coverings.
• Ability to install, repair, and finish drywall and plaster.
• Basic carpentry skills.
• General building maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable working on ladders and performing overhead work.
• Ability to access confined spaces, including closets, crawl spaces, and attics.
• Ability to bend, kneel, twist, reach, and work in difficult access areas.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
