Job Summary/Description: KTIV‑TV, Siouxland's News Source, is looking for an Assignment Manager. This dynamic news professional comes with passion, dedication, leadership, and organization. The Assignment Manager will help organize the news coverage day, work directly with the News Director and news management team, guiding news staff on assignments and special project planning. They set up stories, organize the daily file, and write and edit for all platforms. Duties / Responsibilities: Organize daily news coverage, equipment, and guide newsroom staff; mentor journalists and inspire the team. Maintain strong organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and multi‑platform delivery of news content. Work with the Digital Content Manager to initiate and manage content delivery. Monitor all newscasts and digital news coverage to ensure staff meet quality standards. Qualifications / Requirements: Creativity and passion for news, having fun, leadership in teaching and coaching team members. Strong organizational skills and effective communication. Ability to multitask in high‑stress situations. At least 3 years of newsroom experience and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism preferred. Knowledge and understanding of using various digital and social platforms.
