About This Role

Crayon College Child Care Center is seeking a warm, dependable, and energetic Junior Preschool Teacher to join our early learning team! We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young children, enjoys creating engaging learning experiences, and values building strong relationships with families and coworkers. Our program offers smaller class sizes, allowing teachers the opportunity to build meaningful connections with children and provide more individualized support and attention throughout the day.

What You'll Do

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for children ages 2.5–3 years old
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Implement age-appropriate curriculum activities including art, sensory play, music, language, and outdoor play
• Maintain positive communication with families and staff
• Follow licensing regulations and center policies
• Assist with classroom management, daily routines, meals, toileting, and transitions
• Observe and document children’s development and milestones

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED required
• Meet all DCYF requirements
• STARS training and MERIT account
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Ability to pass background check
• Reliable, positive, and patient attitude
