Location: Redding, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Setting: Outpatient
Shift: Overnight, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Wednesday-Saturday)
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to conduct comprehensive sleep studies and assist in the diagnosis of sleep disorders. The role involves preparing patients for overnight polysomnography, monitoring physiological data during sleep, and ensuring accurate data collection in accordance with established protocols.
Key Responsibilities :Collect and review patient information to identify individual needs and determine testing procedures in collaboration with the ordering physician or clinical director.
Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to patients.
Follow established protocols to ensure accurate and complete data collection.
Provide appropriate care, assessment, and education for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Tabulate study data and prepare accurate reports.
Perform routine equipment maintenance and ensure proper functionality.
Monitor sleep-study equipment and maintain inventory.
Respond to patients' questions regarding testing procedures and provide appropriate information.
Participate in at least one hour of monthly educational training provided by the Medical Director.
Requirements :Diploma or associate degree from an accredited programme.
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification required.
Full technologist state licence in California required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
