Elementary Teachers

- 3rd Grade Teacher
- Science & Social Studies Teacher (Grades 4–9)

Children In the Spirit Christian School is seeking passionate, energetic, and faith-filled educators who believe every child can learn, grow, and discover their God-given purpose. We are looking for teachers who desire to make a lasting impact academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually while working in a collaborative Christian environment.
Our school is committed to providing rigorous instruction aligned to the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards while developing Christian character and servant leadership in every student.
Position Responsibilities
Teachers will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons aligned with the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Maintain a positive, structured, and Christ-centered classroom environment.
- Integrate Biblical principles and Christian values into daily instruction.
- Utilize student assessment data, including i-Ready and classroom assessments, to guide instruction.
- Collaborate with administration and fellow teachers to improve student achievement.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding academic progress and student behavior.
- Maintain accurate lesson plans, attendance, grades, and student records.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and required trainings.
- Foster a classroom culture built on respect, responsibility, integrity, and kindness.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (required)
- Florida Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain certification (preferred)
- Experience teaching elementary or middle school students
- Strong classroom management skills
- Knowledge of the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A passion for Christian education and student success
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional learning community
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with i-Ready, HMH, Renaissance, or similar instructional programs
- Experience using student data to drive instruction
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and small-group teaching
- Technology proficiency with Google Workspace for Education
