Description:The position involves providing nursing care to patients on a Med/Surg/Telemetry unit.Patient ratios are maintained at 1:5.Float requirements may be applicable.Weekend work is required.The unit accommodates various patient age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.Daily census ranges from 18 to 25 patients.The unit sees a variety of patient diagnoses, including post-operative recovery and medical emergencies.Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.Candidates must possess skills in managing various medical equipment and procedures.Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are essential.Successful candidates will have strong critical thinking and communication skills.
