APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Alsip, IL looking to add a CNC Machine Operator to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines while ensuring tight tolerances and exceptional quality standards. Keep reading for more details!

• Pay rate ranging from $25.24-$31/hr. depending on qualifications

What your day will look like:

• Set up and operate CNC machines following standard work procedures
• Inspect and deburr parts to ensure high-quality standards are met
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and minor repairs on machines
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment abnormalities as they arise
• Participate in continuous improvement activities such as SMED, Kaizen, and problem-solving initiatives
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What we are looking for:

• 3+ years of CNC machine operating or maintenance experience
• Experience with OSP, Fanuc, or Haas controls
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC components such as spindles, motors, and turrets
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus
• Experience with Fanuc robots, simple fabrication, or welding preferred
