Rigger PositionBrasfield & Gorrie is hiring an experienced Rigger to join our field team on an active power plant construction project in Cartersville, GA. If you're a certified rigger with hoisting and crane-signal experience, this is a strong opportunity with a top-ranked industrial general contractor.About the Role: As a Rigger, you'll set up hoisting equipment, secure materials, and coordinate with crane operators to safely move and place equipment and materials throughout the project site.Rigger Job Responsibilities:Determine and set up hoisting equipment to be moved by liftSecure materials following safety protocolSignal to operator where to place equipment and materials throughout the project siteUnderstand weight limits of chokers, shackles, pulleys, winches, blocks, sheaves, and cablesKnow crane signals and follow all applicable safety codesFollow oral and written directionsPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisorPosition requires long periods of walking or standingUse arms and hands to reach for, handle, or manipulate objectsEducation - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience:Rigger Qualifications & Experience:5+ years of industrial/commercial construction rigger experience preferredMust have current, valid NCCER or NCCCO rigger certificationFamiliarity with traffic control requiredProof of certification requiredMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsWhy Work at Brasfield & Gorrie:Brasfield & Gorrie is a top-ranked, privately held general contractor with deep experience in power and industrial construction.
