DevOps Specialist

Genesis10 is currently seeking a DevOps Specialist for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

As a member of the DevOps team, this position will be responsible for Environments Management, Deployment, and Support for lower-level test environments. The role focuses on keeping the environment pristine and as production-like as possible, working side-by-side with testers and developers to ensure all are working cohesively.

Responsibilities:

• Defect triage of issues in the application testing environments
• Deployment of code and/or retrofit of production code
• Support Ansible based deployment jobs
• Communicate with clients and consult on infrastructure design
• Rebuild servers and perform system patching
• Work side by side with testers and developers to ensure all are working cohesively
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Manage partnership and communications with internal customers and partner teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Communications, or a related field
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in application support, ensuring stability and availability of high-volume, multi-tier, distributed transactional applications
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices in UNIX and Windows environments, including Ansible and XL Release (XLR)
• Hands-on experience supporting application middleware technologies, including Tomcat, WebSphere, MuleSoft, and JBoss
• Hands-on experience with Windows and UNIX/Linux system administration
• Proficiency in UNIX Shell and PowerShell scripting
• Experience managing application changes, defects, releases, and projects across development, testing, and production environments
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps frameworks
• Knowledge of application container and hosting technologies, including .NET/IIS, Tomcat, WebSphere, MuleSoft, and JBoss
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating initiative and accountability
• Willingness to work aligned to onshore support hours, commencing at 1:00 PM
• Strong project management, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Self-driven, innovative, results-oriented mindset with the ability to motivate and influence others
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Wealth Management domain knowledge and/or experience serving as a Product Support Lead
• Experience supporting Data Analytics and Insights technologies

Pay range: $ 58.31 - $66.31 per hour
