Site Manager

Salary: $90K-$125K Base Location: Remote with travel (60-90% travel depending on project lifecycle) The employer specialises in the automation and material handling systems industry, and is dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions for complex industrial installations and creating a collaborative and safety-focused work environment. They have an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join their team. This position is well-suited to a strong leader with excellent project management skills who is looking to take charge of on-site activities, ensuring timely and safe delivery of automated systems. Key Responsibilities Lead all on-site project activities, including mobilization, commissioning, and demobilization. Manage installation and integration of automated systems (shuttles, conveyors, AS/RS, robotics). Ensure the project meets schedule, budget, and quality objectives. Act as the on-site decision maker and escalation point for any issues. Own and enforce site safety program and compliance with safety standards (OSHA/local regulations). Conduct daily safety walks, toolbox talks, and safety audits. Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maintain project flow. Track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Serve as the primary on-site contact for the customer, leading coordination meetings. Oversee mechanical, electrical, and controls installation to ensure quality and specifications are met. Coordinate transition to commissioning teams and lead testing, validation, and acceptance. Produce site reports on progress, risks, safety, and budget. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in site management, construction, or industrial installation. Experience with automated material handling systems or robotics. Proven leadership experience managing field teams and subcontractors. Strong communication skills to manage customer relationships and internal stakeholders. Ability to manage complex schedules, budgets, and safety requirements.
