Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac dysrhythmias continuously on the unit
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November), including peak months of August and September
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• BLS , ACLS , and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered under standard placement; candidates within 60 miles may be considered but will be prioritized after non-local candidates
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Community hospital experience preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
