Position Summary
The Title IX & Student Accessibility Coordinator supports and advances student-centered compliance efforts related to Title IX, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Section 504. This role integrates case management, education, and accessibility oversight to ensure equitable, consistent, and effective support and response for students. The coordinator divides responsibilities between Title IX response and prevention education, while providing leadership for the College's disability-related compliance efforts. Serving as the College's designated Section 504 Coordinator for students, the position oversees institutional compliance with ADA and Section 504 requirements, including the management of disability-related complaints, coordination of related processes, and administration of student grievance procedures. The role also provides leadership and functional oversight of Deputy Title IX Coordinators across the institution, ensuring alignment in practices, consistency in response, and effective execution of Title IX-related responsibilities, while Deputies maintain primary reporting lines within their respective departments. This position provides direct support to students by offering guidance on their rights, available resources, and resolution options, and by facilitating supportive measures and reasonable accommodations. It ensures the timely, fair resolution of student complaints involving sex- and gender-based misconduct and disability discrimination. The position also leads campus-wide prevention education and accessibility awareness initiatives, partnering with student-facing departments to strengthen a culture of equity, inclusion, and compliance. Bachelor's degree required. A master's degree in higher education, social work, human resources, or a closely related field, or a Juris Doctorate, is preferred. Experience
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working directly with students with disabilities in a higher education setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, is required. Experience in higher education, law enforcement, human resources, or a regulatory compliance environment is strongly preferred. Previous experience with Title IX administration-including investigating, adjudicating, or resolving allegations of discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct-is preferred, as is experience supporting or coordinating institutional compliance efforts. An understanding of the residential college environment and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across campus are required. Licenses or Certifications

- Lead and coordinate student-centered institutional compliance efforts related to Title IX, ADA/Section 504, and other applicable civil rights laws (e.g., Title VI, Title VII, Clery Act), ensuring processes and practices prioritize student access, safety, and equity.
- Develop, implement, communicate, and monitor policies and procedures that support prompt, equitable resolution of student complaints and concerns.
- Advise senior leadership on compliance obligations, risk mitigation, and actions needed to address and prevent student-impacting discrimination and barriers to access.
- Maintain current knowledge of federal and state legislation and emerging best practices in areas affecting students; assess institutional impact and recommend updates that strengthen student support.
- Oversee strategic prevention and education initiatives focused on sexual misconduct, gender-based discrimination, and accessibility, collaborating with student-facing campus partners to enhance student awareness and engagement.
- Monitor compliance in specialized areas that directly impact students (e.g., athletics gender equity, annual disclosures, NCAA-related requirements) to ensure equitable opportunities and institutional accountability.
- Provide leadership and functional oversight of Deputy Title IX Coordinators, ensuring alignment in practices, consistency in response, and effective execution of Title IX-related responsibilities across the institution. Deputy Coordinators maintain primary reporting lines within their respective departments.
- Oversee the intake, assessment, and resolution of student complaints involving sex- and gender-based misconduct, retaliation, and disability discrimination.
- Ensure student grievance processes are prompt, equitable, compliant, and well-documented, maintaining accurate case files and records that support student access and fairness.
- Coordinate and support investigators, deputy coordinators, hearing officers/panelists, and student-facing campus partners involved in resolution processes.
- Provide clear, student-centered information to involved parties regarding their rights, available resources, and procedural options; facilitate access to supportive measures, accommodations, and appropriate referrals.
- Develop and deliver training for campus personnel involved in student intake, investigation, and adjudication to ensure consistency, compliance, and trauma-informed practice.
- Monitor patterns, trends, and outcomes in student cases to inform prevention strategies, identify barriers to access, and strengthen institutional compliance efforts.
- Serve as a primary educator for the campus community-especially students-on Title IX, interpersonal violence prevention, and ADA/Section 504 compliance.
- Design and deliver training, workshops, and outreach programs for students, faculty, staff, and campus partners, tailoring content for specialized student audiences as needed.
- Coordinate required training initiatives such as new student prevention education, employee compliance training, and student-focused bystander intervention programs.
- Develop and disseminate accessible educational materials (print and digital) that increase student awareness of their rights, responsibilities, reporting options, and available resources.
- Collaborate with student-facing campus partners (e.g., wellness, orientation, athletics, residence life) to ensure prevention programming is consistent, developmentally appropriate, and responsive to student needs.
- Support institutional reporting requirements that directly impact students, including Clery Act compliance, annual security reporting, state and federal submissions, NCAA attestations, and grant reporting as applicable.
- Lead or support the administration and analysis of student-focused campus climate surveys and other assessment tools to understand student experiences and needs.
- Maintain data systems for student case management, reporting, and trend analysis, using findings to strengthen student support, prevention programming, and compliance practices.
- Prepare clear, data-informed reports on student complaint activity, outcomes, and program effectiveness for institutional stakeholders to guide decision-making and improve the student experience.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners-including student-facing campus departments, community service providers, and law enforcement agencies-to support student needs and ensure coordinated responses.
- Support and participate in institutional committees and initiatives (e.g., sexual misconduct task force, behavioral intervention team) that directly engage with or impact students.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across campus to ensure a coordinated, compliant, and student-centered response to concerns and requests for support.
- Maintain organized, confidential student records and documentation in compliance with institutional and legal requirements.
- Support budget monitoring and resource allocation for student-focused compliance and prevention initiatives.
- Evaluate program effectiveness-with emphasis on student experience and outcomes-and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of student access, equity, and safety.

- Manage multiple student cases, tasks, and priorities effectively in a high-volume environment.
- Organize confidential student records with accuracy, discretion, and a strong attention to detail.
