Job Title: Regional Manager Location: Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma First Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Overview Responsible for overseeing in‑plant operations at the assigned customer. This includes responsibility for maintaining operating expenses, employee development, employee performance monitoring, implementing standard procedures, key performance indicator reporting, vacation coverage scheduling, and safety. This exempt level position will manage 10+ employees at the customer site(s). This individual is expected to manage personnel and team development matters and must be equipped with measurable expertise in customer relational skills, negotiation skills, and be even‑tempered and flexible in management techniques. This individual will only need occasional input from next level management (Regional In‑Plant Manager). Essential Job Functions Function as point person in operational in‑plant matters for the customer and Sun Chemical. Coordinate with Sales, CTS, and CSC leadership to ensure proper technical support within the given customer. With support of Regional In‑Plant Manager, assist scheduling coverage of the assigned in‑plant operation during vacation, holiday, etc. Complete in‑plant personnel performance management reviews, coordinate in‑plant personnel training and employee development programs, collaborate closely with Regional Manager and HR regarding employee relation matters. Address personnel performance. Take leadership role in Continuous Process Improvement activities within the in‑plant. Prepare monthly reports to keep management informed. As needed, perform color match, produce and quality control inks to ensure inks meet/exceed the customer’s specifications. Maintain detailed production and QC records. Provide strong expertise‑level press side technical support. Direct housekeeping and safety operations. Required Education and Experience Technical degree (BS) or equivalent level of industry experience. 7+ years general industry management experience and 3+ years printing or chemical industry related experience. Experienced in dispensing software platforms (Novaflow, SPEC, Mixmaster, etc.). Experienced in color matching technologies (X‑Rite, Sun Color Box, etc.). Must have strong ink room and printing process knowledge. This is a customer‑facing position that requires a higher degree of interpersonal skill. Strong written communication skills for reporting.
