Lead Press Operator (Press Operator 2) Pay Rate: $25.00 - $35.00 / hour

Shift: Night Shift, 5:45 PM - 6:00 AM

Schedule: Rotating 2-2-3 (Enjoy built-in days off and every other weekend off!)

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):

• Drive Press Excellence: Set up and operate Wide-Web Flexographic presses to maximize run times and minimize scrap.
• Lead & Mentor: Guide and train your Press Operator 1 (Assistant) to keep the press rolling and coordinate breaks.
• Quality Champion: Review work instructions, verify materials, and perform roll-to-roll checks to match approved samples.
• Maintain & Troubleshoot: Perform routine preventative maintenance and collaborate with Maintenance for quick repairs.
• Safety & Environment: Ensure the safe handling and documentation of inks, solvents, and hazardous waste.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience: Previous flexographic printing press experience and strong mechanical aptitude are highly preferred.
• Precision: High attention to detail to read instructions, log data, and use tape measures or micrometers.
• Color Vision: Ability to satisfactorily see and differentiate colors to maintain pristine print quality.
• Team Players: strong communication, a proactive attitude, and a desire to improve processes.
• Physical Readiness: Able to stand for a 12-hour shift and confidently lift/handle up to 75 lbs.

Performance Expectations:

• Maintain a culture of Zero Safety Incidents and strict adherence to food safety (GMP) standards.
• Maintain a high efficiency rating (100%+ after your initial 90-day onboarding period).
• Demonstrate reliable attendance in accordance with company guidelines.

• Drive Press Excellence: Set up, start up, and operate Wide-Web Flexographic presses with a focus on maximizing run times and minimizing scrap.
• Lead & Mentor: Guide, train, and assist your Press Operator 1 (Assistant) to ensure the team is aligned, breaks are coordinated, and the press keeps rolling.
• Quality Champion: Review work instructions, verify materials, and perform strict roll-to-roll quality checks to match the approved sample perfectly.
• Maintain & Troubleshoot: Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and collaborate with the Maintenance team for quick repairs.
• Safety & Environment: Keep a spotless workspace and ensure the safe handling/documentation of inks, solvents, and hazardous waste according to company guidelines.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 75lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
