Group Exercise Instructor

Part Time Family Center, Madison, NJ, US Salary Range: $25.00 To $30.00 Hourly Do you love fitness and are certified to teach classes? Join our team to support our members in achieving their goals! As a Group Exercise Instructor, you will: Lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational group exercise classes. Build effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members and program participants connect with each other and the YMCA. Observe and adjust your approach to support all participants’ capabilities, physical conditions, health, and culture. Record accurate class attendance. Ensure proper equipment is available.

Qualifications: Current Group Fitness Certification from a nationally recognized organization Minimum 1-year consistent teaching experience is preferred. Ability to teach 2 or more class formats is desired. Certifications subject to annual audit. CPR/AED, first-aid certification Abuse Prevention Responsibilities All employees are expected to maintain boundaries, follow mandated reporting requirements, and uphold our policies and procedures to protect youth and participants. This includes attending required training, reporting suspicious or inappropriate behaviors, and adhering to procedures that minimize risk. Supervisors are also responsible for providing oversight, feedback, and accountability to ensure staff and volunteers follow these standards.
