Details Acute care hospital setting on a mixed high acuity MS/Tele, Cardiac Tele, and PCU unit 210 staffed bed facility Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:00 1:6 patient ratio required, with 1:5 ratio experience considered if clearly documented Every other weekend required Floating required within scope of practice Meditech charting system experience required Mandatory 5 shifts (36-40 hours) for clinical orientation week No block scheduling available Requirements Active FL or compact RN license required in hand Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required Strong telemetry experience required Rapid Response team experience required Total joint replacement experience required Meditech charting experience required Community hospital experience preferred Nursys report required (pulled within the last 2 weeks) Additional Information Provide nursing care across a mixed high acuity unit including cardiac telemetry, PCU/stepdown, and general med/surg patients Skills utilized may include IV therapy, central and PICC line care, blood product administration, and cardiac drip management (no titration) Respiratory care skills such as BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube management, and high flow nasal cannula may be required Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams Scrub color is not restricted Free parking available in any unrestricted space Must plan for at least 4 hours to complete required modules prior to start date No remote or local candidates permitted; must reside more than 30 miles from the facility No RTO permitted during the first or last week of assignment Holiday coverage required per facility RTO restrictions, including working at least one holiday and one holiday eve depending on how many holidays fall within the assignment period Travel pairs or trios not accepted for this position American Traveler Job ID P-749669.
