Travel Physical Therapist - Baytown, Texas

Provide expert physical therapy services to outpatient hospital patients, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician directives. This travel position, based in Baytown, TX, involves overseeing discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and designing functional treatment programs to support effective community reintegration.


Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to develop appropriate treatment plans targeting discharge goals within set timeframes.
• Delegate and direct therapy services, ensuring quality and compliance with physician orders and insurance requirements.
• Document medical records clearly and promptly, including goal setting, quality indicators, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry.
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a 10-foot circle of safety, focusing on safe patient handling, materials management, infection control, slip/trip prevention, and workplace safety.
• Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and colleagues, fostering positive learning environments and professional development.
• Maintain professional licensure and credentials, comply with regulatory and ethical standards, and engage in ongoing education and professional growth.
• Participate in organizational quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
