Job Description
The General Construction Technician plays a vital role in supporting residential construction projects by performing precise measurement and layout tasks, framing, and providing assistance with electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work. Working within small teams of 1-5 members, the technician collaborates closely with contractors and regularly travels to multiple job sites to ensure quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate measurement and layout for construction tasks
- Assist with framing and structural assembly
- Support electrical, plumbing, or HVAC installation as needed
- Collaborate effectively with small construction teams
- Follow safety protocols on job sites
- Travel regularly to various residential construction locations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in general construction
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with framing and structural work
- Proficient in using power tools
- Strong knowledge of safety compliance
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Physical stamina to meet job demands
