The Shift Manager plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while ensuring strong execution of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) standards. This position reports to the General Manager and supports the development and performance of crew members. Managers lead daily shifts, ensuring customers get a fast, accurate, and friendly experience every visit. Shift Managers lead the crew and other managers during a shift to ensure excellent Quality, Service, and Cleanliness for our customers. Shift Managers perform a variety of tasks, which include planning for each shift, ensuring food safety, monitoring performance during the shift, taking action to ensure the team is meeting McDonald's standards, monitoring safety, security, and profitability, and communicating with the next Shift Manager to help prepare him/her to run a great shift. Shift Managers may also be responsible for meeting targets during their shifts and helping their assigned Departments meet their goals. We want our manager to take initiative and LEAD BY EXAMPLE. Qualifications & Requirements * Minimum 1-3 years of fast-food or QSR management or supervisory experience * Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills * Working knowledge of food safety, cash handling, and shift operations * Ability to coach and lead a diverse team in a fast-paced environment * Must be 18 years of age or older (21 preferred depending on shift responsibilities) Key Responsibilities The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing restaurant operations during assigned shifts and will: * Lead shifts to ensure a fast, accurate, and friendly customer experience * Execute daily shift plans, including staffing, deployment, and readiness * Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation standards * Monitor performance throughout the shift and take corrective action as needed * Maintain high standards of quality food production and cleanliness * Enforce cash-handling policies, security procedures, and opening/closing checklists * Coach, train, and motivate crew members through hands-on leadership * Address customer concerns professionally and effectively * Ensure lobby, restrooms, kitchen, and service areas remain clean and organized * Communicate clearly with the management team regarding shift outcomes and issues * Act as a role model by leading with integrity, urgency, and teamwork Compensation & Benefits We offer competitive hourly pay along with: * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Flexible scheduling * $3,000/year tuition assistance or Free Online through CTU * Medical and dental benefits, Highmark Blue Shield * Free uniforms * Employee meals About Our Organization Our McDonald's restaurants have been family-owned and operated for two generations, and are deeply rooted in the communities we serve.
