divh2Maintenance Technician for Solar Monitoring System/h2pUL Solutions, will be installing a solar monitoring system (SMS) near Lordsburg, NM on behalf of one of our Clients. The station is (roughly 10x10 footprint) consists of a few solar panels, tripod, and measurement equipment surrounded by a chain link fence. The stations will be monitoring the solar resource as well as other meteorological and weather-related parameters./ppThe station requires weekly maintenance, on the same day each week at approximately the same time to ensure consistent and accurate data is being collected for a minimum of 1 year. Your duties will include the following:/polliEnsure all equipment is level;/liliEnsure all equipment is clean;/liliEnsure there is no debris obstructing the system (depending on site/region, grass cutting, snow removal, or clearing brush); and/liliConfirm the system is secure and hasnt been tampered with./li/olpEach maintenance visit should take 15-30 minutes. UL requires a weekly excel logbook uploaded via internet along with photos and other documentation to support the visit which should take 30-45 minutes. The entire process should take between 2-4 hours each week depending on your travel time to and from site./ppOccasionally, UL may request your assistance in replacing or troubleshooting equipment. A Senior Engineer would contact you to walk you through the process. They will support you while onsite and review data after the equipment repair./ppNo solar experience is required. Training will be provided either on site or remotely via phone or video call./ppMust be able to take instruction remotely./ppMust use own transportation to and from remote SMS location (4-wheel drive preferred.)/ppWilling to walk, no more than mile in one direction./ppMust own gas or battery-operated weedwacker should grass cutting be required./ppRequired to climb an 8-foot ladder (UL provided)./ppCapable of maintaining equipment utilizing a level, a screwdriver or other hand tools./ppMust be willing to pay for shipping or other small costs from time to time to be reimbursed by UL./ppMust have basic computer skills, including ability to upload attachments with their own version of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) to SharePoint with reliable internet./ppA smart phone is required to take site photos as well as to communicate with UL staff while on site in an event of an emergency./ppRequired to treat all applicable information as confidential./ppSalary: $90-$150 per visit depending on proximity to site./ppUL is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, marital status, genetic predisposition, or any other basis protected by law./ppAs part of our process with all new maintenance technicians this contract may be subject to a successful background check and drug screen./p/div
