Summary:
A Production Assistant Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the production floor, ensuring smooth operations, and is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities to ensure efficient flow of daily operations.

• Operational Oversight:
• Fill in during Supervisor PTO
• Master all department operations to provide effective guidance
• Provide training, guidance and support to ensure all production processes are executed smoothly, safely and in line with established processes
• Assign tasks based on job priorities and operator availability
• Production Coordination:
• Coordinating production activities with material handlers, set-up personnel, and Supervisor to ensure efficient flow of daily operations
• Ensure accuracy of both physical and computer-entered documentation during each shift.
• Perform First Article and first-piece inspections for new setups and monitor ongoing production for quality through roving inspections.
• Assist with Set up personnel to improve set up times and accuracy
• Quality Assurance:
• Understand and adhere to Quality Assurance guidelines
• Safety & Compliance:
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Document production activities and quality checks, completing necessary forms for record-keeping.
• Collaboration & Team Support:
• Work closely with operators, material handlers, setup personnel, Supervision and quality assurance (QA) teams to meet department objectives
• Communicate with other shift Supervision as to machine and job statuses

Additional Responsibilities:

• Issue work orders for setups and changeovers.
• Assist in adjusting operator schedules during supervisor absences or to meet department needs.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure operators have the materials and tools required.
• Assist in the organization and inventory management of equipment and production materials. 
• Maintain detailed records of operator assignments and job completions for tracking and verification.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move wheeled carts with baskets weighing up to 1,500 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and perform manual labor for the duration of the shift.
• Experience in working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Availability for overtime as needed
• Strong organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while retaining a calm and professional demeanor.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in the production setting

 

Shift Details

4th Shift - Weekend Days is Fri, Sat, Sun, 3 12-hr shifts, 6:45am - 6:45pm.

* Weekend shift works 36 hours, with shift premium pay and full-time benefits. No overtime available.
