Serves as a liaison between the Credit Union and external auditors and regulatory authorities.Assists Senior Management in developing short- and long-term goals and objectivesDevelops, analyzes, and interprets statistical and accounting information to determine Credit Union performance in the areas of profitability, performance against budget and other statistics indicating the financial soundness and operating effectiveness of the organizationAdvises department managers regarding accounting entries, financial reporting, and comparative analyses. Assists department groups with research, problem-solving, and input on financial goalsEnsures accounting personnel are informed of accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; promotes consistency throughout accounting operations.Partners with Information Technology and other departments to implement efficient systems, reporting enhancements, and process improvements.Assists the CFO with financial analyses related to cash flow, investments, liquidity, banking relationships, and other strategic initiatives DocusignRepresents the Credit Union to various trade professionals and groups while ensuring the Credit Union’s professional reputation is maintainedEnsures appropriate levels of confidentiality regarding the Credit Union’s operationsPrepares and assists with procedures and policymaking as it pertains to the accounting department.
