Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney to join their personal injury team in Ladson, South Carolina. This position offers the opportunity to represent clients throughout the state and requires an active South Carolina Bar license in good standing. The ideal candidate will possess strong courtroom skills, proven litigation experience, and a commitment to client service. Duties Represent clients in personal injury matters from initial litigation through settlement or verdict. Draft and file litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and legal memoranda. Conduct and defend depositions. Handle mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings, including jury selection, opening/closing statements, and examinations. Collaborate with paralegals and litigation support staff to ensure thorough case preparation. Requirements Active membership in the South Carolina Bar, in good standing. Ideally 1+ years of litigation/trial experience in personal injury or related areas, but willing to train those with less experience. Strong negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Active South Carolina Bar license. Skills Strong negotiation and advocacy skills. Proficient in legal research and writing. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
