The engineer will lead architecture and engineering efforts across Azure and GCP, while ensuring sound data modeling, governance, platform reliability, and secure handling of sensitive cyber telemetry. The role partners closely with cybersecurity architecture, platform engineering, and data science teams to translate security and business requirements into reliable, production‑ready solutions.In this role, you will:Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impactAct as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplinesDesign, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programsReview and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factorsMake decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goalsLead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentorDemonstrate proficiency in using AI assisted development and analysis tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot and approved code centric agents)Leverage AI to accelerate system design, coding, testing, analysis, and troubleshootingApply strong technical judgment when validating and integrating AI assisted outputs into solutionsUnderstand and account for model limitations, security risks, and operational considerationsApply AI responsibly in development and production environmentsEnsure AI usage aligns with security, compliance, privacy, and ethical standardsRequired Qualifications:5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of experience in a modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++, Go, or Rust)5+ years of data and software engineering with a strong focus on Information Security, Cyber Defense, or security analytics platformsDesired Qualifications:Background in building or supporting security data platforms or analytics solutionsExposure to AI/ML or GenAI use cases, particularly in security or data environmentsExperience aggregating and correlating data from multiple security tools (SIEM, endpoint, network, etc.)Hands‑on experience designing and managing data lakes, data warehouses, or hybrid data architectures with sound data modeling and governance practicesExperience working with data platforms, databases, and data processing frameworks (e.g., Databricks or similar)Ability to assess risk, improve operational resilience, and deliver production‑ready solutions in highly regulated environmentsExperience with data visualization, dashboards, or UX/UI collaboration, translating complex data into actionable insightsProven ability to translate high-level requirements into technical tasks and execution plansExperience working in cloud environments and supporting migration from on-prem to cloudProven expertise building secure, scalable cloud‑native solutions across AWS, Azure, and/or Google CloudBachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).Locations:1100 Corporate Center Drive, Raleigh, North Carolina S Brevard, Charlotte, North Carolina S Price Road Chandler, Arizona Las Colinas Blvd W, Irving, Texas 75039Job Expectations:This position offers a hybrid work schedule in office 3 days a weekPosting Statements:Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.Required location(s) listed above.
