Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S Border Patrol, Tucson Sector, in the following locations:
- Willcox Station, Willcox, AZ
- Three Points Station, Tucson, AZ
- Douglas Station, Douglas, AZ
- LE Operational Programs, Tucson, AZ
- Mission Readiness Operations, Tucson, AZ
- Assisting in developing new methods for automating administrative reports by considering the information, its uses, and form.
- Providing broad assistance to other mission support personnel to include procurement of routine equipment and services, preparing purchase orders, assisting in identifying potential suppliers, and coordinating as needed.
- Monitoring, receiving, prioritizing and routing service requests.
- Performing other office automation tasks, in combination with clerical work performed as part of the general office support.

- Bargaining Unit: This is a bargaining unit covered position, represented under the National Border Patrol Council - NBPC. For local chapter contact information see
- Interacting with employees at any level.
- Answering routine questions and directing callers to appropriate staff.
- Performing a variety of record keeping, reporting and informational duties in support of the office.
- Compiling, maintaining and updating data, lists and reports; using computer software to produce, store and retrieve a variety of documents including spreadsheets, databases and graphics.
- Preparing purchase orders and supporting documents, maintaining files of catalogs, sources, supply schedules and pertinent industry publications.
- Sorting and routing correspondence and other materials to appropriate offices and/or individuals.
- Establishing personal suspense dates and maintaining correspondence and recurring reports; monitoring inventory of office supplies and ordering when necessary.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policy.
- Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
- Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 06/22/2026.
- Working for the U.S. Government as a federal civilian or as a member of the military
- A dependent who was authorized to accompany a federal civilian or member of the military who was working for the U.S. government
- Participation in a study abroad program sponsored by a U.S. affiliated college or university
- Working as a contractor, intern, consultant or volunteer supporting the U.S. government
