About This Role
Faire is a company invested in the importance of designas a Staff Product Designer you'll join a close-knit, collaborative team that cares deeply about creating beautiful, intuitive experiences. Our team plays a central role in identifying and solving meaningful problems for our customers, designing for thousands of independent retailers and maker brands growing their businesses in our marketplace. In this role, you'll help shape Faire's product alongside partners in research, engineering, product, data, and analytics. As a Staff Product Designer, you'll drive strategy, craft, and end-to-end experiences while supporting key business goals across both your pod and broader pillar work. We're looking for designers who excel across the full product development lifecycle, care about the details, and have a strong track record of shipping high-quality experiences. You bring a growth mindset and a genuine curiosity about our customers. We're looking for candidates open to working in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY.
What You'll Do
- Define the vision by proactively identifying gaps and influencing roadmap prioritization.
- Lead end-to-end design from deep discovery and rapid prototyping through polished execution and production.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and data teams to explore new paradigms
- Tell powerful stories that connect design vision to tangible business and customer impact, inspiring alignment across teams and leadership.
- Push Faire's design system forward through the lens of your workevolving patterns, motion, and visual language that scale across the platform.
- Prototype fearlessly using modern tools to explore new ideas, test assumptions, and accelerate innovation.
- Mentor and elevate other designerssharing your craft, process, and storytelling approach to raise the bar across the org.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience designing complex, high-impact digital products.
- Deep expertise in interaction design, visual craft, and systems thinking.
- Proven ability to lead with visioninfluencing strategy and aligning cross-functional partners through compelling storytelling.
- Strong ability to connect design direction to business and customer outcomes.
- Comfort exploring and experimenting with new tools and workflows for rapid prototyping and AI-integrated design.
- A portfolio that demonstrates visionary product thinking, strong craft, and clear communication of impact.
- Experience contributing to and evolving large-scale design systems.
- A passion for collaboration, mentoring, and driving a culture of excellence in design.

Salary Range
San Francisco, CA and New York City, NY: the pay range for this role is $216,000 - $297,000 per year.
This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Hybrid Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year. Specific Workplace and Information Technology positions may require onsite attendance 5 days per week as will be indicated in the job posting.
