About the Position

Our client is seeking professional CDL-A drivers for a regional grocery delivery operation based in Shelbyville, Indiana. This position offers strong earning potential, steady year-round freight, flexible scheduling, and home daily opportunities for drivers who live within 50 miles of Shelbyville. A home weekly option is available for drivers who live farther away.

Pay & Schedule

• Average annual earnings of $90,000
• $0.90 per mile, plus $20 per stop and $35 per load
• $0.15 per mile performance bonus
• $0.05 per mile pay increase after one year
• $7,500 sign-on bonus available
• 40 hours per week
• Home daily for drivers within 50 miles of Shelbyville
• Home weekly option for drivers who live farther away
• One weekday and one weekend day off guaranteed each week
• Start times range from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.; schedule flexibility is required
• Approximately 10 hours per day
• Flexible schedule options

Job Details

• Route type: Regional
• Delivery area: Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois within a 250-mile radius
• Freight: Refrigerated grocery products
• Stops: One to two stops per day, approximately 10 stops per week
• Equipment: Automatic transmission tractor-trailers and pallet jacks
• Freight handling: Light-touch unloading of grocery pallets using a pallet jack
• Freight availability: Steady, year-round work

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL-A commercial vehicle on regional routes
• Deliver grocery pallets to store locations across Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois
• Unload refrigerated grocery freight using a pallet jack
• Complete deliveries accurately and on schedule
• Maintain a professional, safety-focused approach while representing TransForce

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• 6+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Valid DOT medical card
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Steel-toed or composite-toe boots required
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of unloading grocery pallets
• Flexibility to work varying start times
