Per Diem Ultrasound Technician

Schedule: 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM with the requirement to take call 2-3 times per week.

Job Description: The Per Diem Ultrasound Technician is responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound exams, ensuring the production of high-quality technical and diagnostic scans for accurate interpretation. The technician will position both the patient and equipment effectively to produce appropriate recordings and will manage the processing and transmission of images to Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).

Responsibilities:

• Perform all ultrasound exams with proficiency.
• Position patients and equipment to obtain quality recordings.
• Process and transmit images to PACS.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire.
• Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as indicated above and graduation within 90 days of hire.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintain.
• Proficient computer skills.
