ServiceNow Developer / Administrator

This role involves working in a fast-paced Agile environment to support, administer, and develop on the ServiceNow Platform. The position requires working with cross-functional teams to provide solutions across different applications, performing production support, and ensuring the integrity and availability of multiple FedRamp ServiceNow instances. The candidate will be responsible for daily administration, issue resolution, and troubleshooting for all reported problems.

Candidate must be willing to work onsite in Cincinnati, OH USC only. I would like additional local candidates, or candidates in Ohio / Kentucky / Indiana who are open to relocate, not to travel.

• Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance, or already have one.
• Candidates must have an active Admin cert, and it needs to be verifiable.
• Flexible on the other days, 3 days a week onsite, certain times 4 days a week. No nighttime or weekend work needed, need to get a secret clearance.
• 1 year rolling contract, 1 round interview with HM, possibly 2.
• Support the instance of SN, already implemented modules, production support, daily stand up, 2 week sprints, 2 people doing incident watch, stories = what teams work on, hey we need a custom field on this table, etc. Main backlog is request management, building new catalogs for the portal, big part of the role, can you build me a workflow, request management work, needs to be able to articulate and work with stakeholders, requirements clarification, do demos, all standard stuff on SN platform, upgrades, maintenance, SPM strategic portfolio management is a Plus, everyone on team does development, updating catalogs, every 2 week sprint, primary and secondary have production support work, keep the lights on.
• Javascript: main language for programming language, client script or business rules, needs javascripting skills for that.
• Modules are already implemented- this is a support role with some dev work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Configure and develop on the ServiceNow platform, including routine changes and adjustments.
• Provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain the ServiceNow platform.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of ServiceNow applications.
• Collaborate with platform and delivery teams to perform ServiceNow upgrades and patching.
• Assist with report configuration, dashboards, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with teammates to perform code reviews and discuss new developments.
• Support the administration for production and non-production instances.
• Collaborate with production support and operations teams to monitor support cases.
• Document administrative processes and issue resolutions.
• Work with business stakeholders to develop clear requirements and participate in daily scrum meetings.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow Platform Administration.
• 3+ years of experience with applications including Incident, Problem, Change Management, Knowledge, Service Catalog, and ITOM/CMDB.

Technical skills:

• Strong experience in system administration and JavaScript.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and diagnose performance-related issues.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is required.

Certifications:

• A current ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA) certification is required.
• Candidates must have an active ServiceNow certification verifiable through the partner portal.

Preferred qualifications:

• Current ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) for SPM and/or APM.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
• ITIL v3 or ITIL v4 certification.
