Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,092–$2,227 per week Start date: 08/31/2026 Contract duration: Weeks Shift: 3x12 Nights Setting: 20-bed Med/Surg unit (adult/geriatric) in a hospital Weekend shifts required; Orientation: 36 hours Responsibilities Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg patients on a 20-bed unit; monitor and document patient status Administer medications and IV therapies; participate in blood product administration; assist with insulin and heparin management Initiate and manage IV starts; peripheral and PICC line care; phlebotomy and specimen collection Perform wound care, wound VAC management, and feeding tube or ostomy care as clinically indicated; implement appropriate infection control measures Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams; participate in discharge planning and patient/family education; ensure safe transitions of care Maintain EKG competency per facility requirements and support routine rhythm monitoring and interpretation as needed Requirements Active New York RN license required at submission; submit recent Nursys verification, certifications, SSN/DOB, and references BLS required; ACLS preferred Minimum 2 years of acute hospital Med/Surg nursing experience Travel experience required EKG competency: complete Relias EKG exam within 72 hours of signing and pass with 100% (facility onsite exam requires 85% and identification of critical rhythms; remediation possible per policy) Not open to applicants with permanent address within 50 miles of Saratoga Springs; excluded counties include Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, and Ulster Benefits and Support Dedicated recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment Credentialing and onboarding assistance to help expedite start 36-hour orientation with scheduling guidance and completion tracking 24/7 access to traveler support during the assignment Find more opportunities: If this role isn’t a fit, you can explore additional Med/Surg RN travel openings and other opportunities at Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
