Engineer, Process I

Review deviations and apply fundamental engineering principles to solve technical problems in collaboration with operations and engineering team. Interpret repair requirements and implement repair techniques in adherence with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements. Develop new repair techniques to reduce shop floor hours and improve throughput. Support shop with special processes such as: EB Weld, Heat Treatment, Plasma, and Water Jet Strip. Assist in review of work instructions for adherence to regulatory requirements. Participate in Root Cause Corrective action process to investigate internal and external warranties. Mentor/Train shop floor personnel on process standards and repair techniques. Participate in cross‑functional teams on process control, improvement, and optimization projects; participate in other BES activities (i.e. Kaizen, Baseline, Production, and Preparation Process (3P). Qualifications: One to three years of related experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in an overhaul and repair operations. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees, suppliers and customers. Demonstrated ability to work with team environment. Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; expertise in AutoCAD required. Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodology (6‑sigma, 6‑S, Continuous Improvement) a plus. Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering This position is a safety sensitive position.
