Position Overview Sign-On Bonus: Up to $8,000.00 (For Full-Time, 7 On/7 Off, and Weekend Only positions) Department: Behavioral Health - Geriatric Psych Schedule: Full-Time Nights, 3 12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's East Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more Our Behavioral Health services at UAB St. Vincent's East include 80 beds for adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic mental health needs. Our dedicated team-based care model provides individualized, compassionate care. We provide a safe and structured environment focused on stabilization, recovery, and long-term wellness. What You Will Do Provide care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license. Contribute to the assessment of patients and assure the well-being of patients. Administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments. Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services. Educate patients/families about disease treatment plan including self care post discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow up care. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent required. Additional Preferences No additional preferences.
