About the Role
The Company is in need of an Executive Director for its charter school, which serves K-8 students. The successful candidate will be a key leader with a deep passion for education and a commitment to preparing the next generation of changemakers. Responsibilities include providing a positive work environment for staff, building strong partnerships with the school community, and ensuring the school's financial management, safety, and operations are in line with the Board's vision. The Executive Director will also be tasked with compliance to state education mandates, teacher certifications, and all relevant regulations. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a Master's, in a related field, and at least 5 years' of experience in an educational institution, nonprofit organization, or for-profit corporation. The role requires exceptional communication, strategic planning, and goal-oriented skills, as well as a strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and educational best practices. The ideal candidate will be able to obtain an Oregon Administrative Certificate within two months of hire and must be thoughtful, approachable, and adept at fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
