Pastry Cook

The Kiawah Island Club is seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Cook to join the culinary team at The B-Liner. Amid uncommon scenic beauty, The Kiawah Island Club is an exclusive private membership club for property owners with an unmatched collection of amenities and distinctive venues.


Responsibilities

- Work closely with Executive Pastry Chef on restaurant and event menus showcasing signature plated desserts, intricate garnish, cookies, cakes, pastries, ice creams, sorbets, a variety of daily breads, and other menu items using primarily local, seasonal ingredients


- Working pastry line during lunch and dinner service


- Executing dessert menus for exclusive events and daily lunch and dinner menus. Work closely with the Pastry Chef breads for savory restaurant and event menus.

Qualifications

- Some pastry experience is required.

- Previous experience with fine dining, banquets, and events and/or large production preferred.


- Knowledge of, and adherence to SC sanitation rules is required. Serve Safe certification preferred.

- Reliable transportation is a must.

This position has a high starting rate for lightly experienced candidates and an even higher rate for seasoned candidates especially with a history in fine dining restaurants and clubs.
