As part of the Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) initiative, our team is transitioning customer-facing reporting and search capabilities to a modern, highly scalable cloud data platform. You will move beyond standard feature development to build the distributed infrastructure that allows millions of users to instantly discover, filter, and analyze their agreements. We are looking for a builder who has experience with modern search frameworks, distributed systems, and solving "never-been-done-before" problems at scale. You will work closely with product leaders from proof-of-concept to V1 release, ensuring our solutions are fault-tolerant, secure, and blazingly fast.This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Machine Learning.ResponsibilityBuild fault-tolerant, high-throughput search systems using microservices architectureLead the implementation and optimization of search clusters to ensure sub-second query performance across petabytes of dataDevelop and deploy scalable services in Azure, leveraging containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-codeCollaborate with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical designs, drive implementation, write ample test coverage, and oversee the release processConduct code reviews, and work with cross-site teams to drive engineering best practicesIdentify and resolve production issues, ensuring 99.99% availability for critical search servicesJob DesignationHybrid:Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.What you bringBasicBS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Informatics, or relevant fields3+ years of software development experience in object-oriented languages (C#, Java, C++, or Go)1+ years of experience with large-scale data systems and search engines (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr)1+ years of experience with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka)1+ years of experience building services in public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)PreferredMaster's degree in Computer Science or related fieldDirect involvement in the design and operation of high-availability SaaS platforms (99.9%+ uptime)Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)Wage TransparencyPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:California: $118,000.00 - $183,050.00 base salaryWashington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $111,900.00 - $162,250.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for the following:Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals.
