Every day brings new opportunities to make a meaningful difference while building lasting relationships. Our Mission in Action At The Creekside School, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to communicate, connect, and thrive. Our Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants play an essential role in helping students develop functional communication skills, build confidence, strengthen social interactions, and increase independence. Why You’ll Love Working Here When you join The Creekside School, you become part of a team that values collaboration, compassion, and continuous learning. We offer: Meaningful work that makes a lasting difference in students’ lives. A supportive team that values collaboration and respect. A person-centered environment where every student is treated with dignity and respect. The opportunity to help students build communication skills that support lifelong independence. Our Culture Our work is guided by the values that define The Creekside School: Relationships First - We build trusting relationships with students, families, and one another. Continuous Growth - We believe in learning, improving, and helping every student reach their fullest potential. Make a Difference Every Day Are you passionate about helping students find their voice and communicate with confidence? Assist with the implementation of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and communication strategies. Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records. Prepare therapy materials and organize treatment activities. Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support student success. Reinforce communication goals throughout the educational environment. Participate in team meetings, IEP discussions as appropriate, and professional development opportunities. Maintain compliance with school policies, supervision requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For Minimum Qualifications Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) program. Current California SLPA license or registration, as required. Knowledge of speech and language development and common communication disorders. Ability to implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Commitment to building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders or developmental disabilities. Experience in a Nonpublic School (NPS), special education, or therapeutic educational setting. Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems. Knowledge of IEP processes and special education regulations. Bilingual skills are a plus. Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams. Why Join The Creekside School? Meaningful work that changes students’ lives every day. Supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team. Mentorship from experienced Speech-Language Pathologists.
