Elementary School Teacher (leave replacement)

Position Overview Livingston Public Schools is accepting applications for a full-time, leave replacement, Elementary Classroom Teacher (Reading, Writing, and Math) at Harrison Elementary School from August 26, 2026, through January 15, 2027. Responsibilities and Qualifications We are seeking a knowledgeable, collaborative, and student‑centered educator to provide high‑quality instruction in Reading, Writing, and Math. The successful candidate will create engaging learning experiences that promote academic achievement, critical thinking, creativity, and a love of learning, while fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in literacy and mathematics instruction, utilizes evidence‑based instructional practices, and effectively supports the academic, social‑emotional, and behavioral growth of elementary learners. Candidates should be committed to meeting the needs of diverse learners, using data to inform instruction, and collaborating with colleagues, families, and support staff to ensure student success. Applicants must hold or be eligible for the appropriate New Jersey Elementary School Teacher certification at the time of application. Experience teaching elementary‑aged students is preferred. Compensation and Benefits Salary will be determined in accordance with the Livingston Education Association (LEA) Agreement, which is available on the district website.
