Job Summary:
Emergency Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (Tele) in Joplin, Missouri. This position involves providing patient care in a specialized telemetry unit utilizing the nursing process. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work and should demonstrate competence with insulin gtts, Precedex, titrating nitroglycerin, and Cardizem. The role requires a commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and teamwork within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Joplin, Missouri
• Shift: Nights, 07:00 PM 07:00 AM (12 hours)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 07/06/2026
• Required Qualifications: Current RN License (Meets the criteria to be eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri), BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA only, NIHSS certification, 2+ years of experience in Stepdown or ICU in an acute care hospital setting, competent with insulin gtts, Precedex, titrating nitroglycerin, and Cardizem.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Post Cardiac Catheterization patients, AFib, CHF, and other medical overflow patients.
• Unit Information: The unit handles post-cardiac cath, stable MI, arrhythmias, CHF, and medical overflow patients, including pacemaker insertions and non-titrated cardiac drips.
• Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care, maintains professional accountability, evaluates the effectiveness of care, coordinates with other departments, and ensures patient rights and confidentiality.
• Submission Requirements: ALL CONTINGENCY REQUESTS MUST BE ON THE SUBMISSION FORM.
• Vaccinations: Flu Vaccination/Mercy Approved Exemption is required for all travelers from November 1-April 1; declinations are not accepted.
• Dress Code: Scrubs, black in color.
• Auto-Offer Guidelines: Flexible contract length (8-26 weeks), guaranteed hours (36 or 48 hours), blocked scheduling with facility approval, and confirmation within 5 days of offer. Night shift orientation occurs during day shift and the candidate must be available for the entire week.
